Earlier today each of us were reunited with our families and shared some of the highlights from our trip. Thank you all for your love and support throughout this Mexicali season!

Almost home…
We are all slowly working our way home today, with the bulk of us about to leave Dallas for the last leg of our journey home. We are exhausted physically, emotionally and spiritually but our hearts are still filled with joy from the ministry we participated in this week.
We look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!
Drivers first leg
The drivers are all through security and waiting to board. Pray for safe travels.
H2O update – Thursday
H20 –
This week was AMAZING! We are finally back in California.
We got to have our fiestas and say our final goodbyes. We got the chance to do piñatas at both places, which they loved so much, and fed Refugio outside the bowl food. Then we headed over to the build site to do the final key ceremony.
Many tears were shed today and we were all very sad to leave everyone down in Mexicali. Although, we can not wait to see you all in back in Michigan. See you soon!
Back in the USA
We have successfully crossed the border and delivered everything to the storage unit and gotten dinner. Now it is just the long drive back to San Diego for some much needed rest before we all fly home tomorrow. See you soon!
The journey home
Our ministry in Mexicali is over for the week, but we will each leave a piece of our heart in this place. God has poured out so many blessings on all of us this week. Please pray for us as we head back to the US this afternoon to begin our journey home.
Some photos of the house
Goodbye camp!
It is Thursday morning and none of us can believe it is almost over. Camp is packed and we have left for our ministry sites for the last time. Please keep us in your prayers today as we say goodbye to our Mexican friends and family, cross the border and prepare to fly home to Michigan tomorrow.
H2o update – Wednesday
The past few days have been awesome. We have been going to Refugio. This year we not only got the chance to have fun with the men and do VBS with them, but we actually got the chance to help clean the place up and make a physical impact. We had the chance to shave all the men’s faces (yes, girls who have never even shaved a face before actually shaved their beards!!!!) We also fed them lunch from outside the bowl Wednesday and plan on doing the same Thursday.
At Una Salida we continued our VBS. Tuesday some of the high school boys from there asked if they could help build the house with us. So they came and since they helped build, we invited them to the key ceremony Thursday. Wednesday some members of our team and many of the kids went to a local park to help plant over 25 trees.
We are very sad to have to leave both sites Thursday. Although, we will have a big piñata at both places and will have a big fiesta. Can’t wait to see you all Saturday. Love you all very much!!
Amor De Dios update – Wednesday
Today made good for a last day.
Even with some speculation, we visited the school once again with all smiles. Our optimism made up for the tedious chores the lady had us complete: raking the sidewalk and cleaning up the students garbage after recess( yes, actually RAKING the sidewalk). But we were blessed afterward with real work to complete thanks to the build team; we enjoyed every minute of mudding. Afterwards, we walked into our last day of VBS at the park site. It was a bitter sweet moment for all. The children loved our craft and understood how the craft went along with the the book. We were elated. We passed out goodie bags and t-shirts that were made possible by Austin’s coach. It was truly a wonderful site to see.
P.S. We have found a weird coconut🤔
