Crossing the border

We are at the border heading to camp. The line is long and we have had a busy day. Our spirits are high and we are anxious to start our ministry.

Please keep us in your prayers that things go smoothly through the border and as we set up camp!

Mission Beach

Spent some time at Mission Beach this afternoon. We practiced playing with the parachutes for VBS and finished with an hilarious game of Red Rover.

The build team spent the day running errands and having some team time as well, hosted by Mike Houghten.

Tonight we make some final preparations before we focus on our mission and leave for Mexico in the morning.

Hello California!

Two flights have landed in San Diego and our last flight for the day arrives shortly. God has been great to us today and we are praising  him for that. We grabbed some pizza for dinner and some of us have already gone to bed after a long day of travel.

Tomorrow we will make some final preparations for VBS, the build team will run some errands and have been invited to dinner by an old friend, Mike Houghten, and we all hope to have a little down time to refresh before we begin our mission work on Friday.

Don’t forget to comment on these posts so we know you’re out there! Otherwise we will think you don’t miss all of us!

Thank you for all of the prayers!!!!

The power of prayer

As with any mission from God, there are many stumbling blocks on our road to Mexicali. That’s why it is so amazing when we see answered prayers! They are truly God speaking to us, telling us to stay the course as good and faithful servants of Christ.

We have received a few curve balls over the last few weeks, but the team is persevering. It will be amazing to see what God has planned for us in Mexicali!

So, as we continue to pray, we would ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as well. Requests include safe travel, healthy travelers, full funding of our trip, and to be preared for our ministry physically,  mentally and spiritually. To God be the glory!
