Arriving a day early, we were surprised to find nearly 200 campers already here to greet us! Our Shephard Birmingham and St John Rochester were among them. It was great to see some familiar faces from home, in addition to the Mexico Outreach family.
Setting up camp went well, followed by some dinner and a Good Friday service led by Andrew to remind us all of the true reason we serve our amazing God.
Despite the roosters, we were able to get a good night’s rest after finally being settled in our home for the week.
The other 400+ people joining us for camp will arive later today. Meanwhile, we are already sending our teams to begin their ministry in Mexico.
One group has the opportunity to join some APU students to do some landscaping at Refugio ,where one of our teams will be serving for the remainder of the week. The other group will be assisting the build team.
We will be sure to update you later with reports and photos!
Thank you for all the comments! We love knowing you are out there supporting us, loving us, and missing us. The feeling is mutual!!!!
