Just a quick update the whole team has made it safely to Yuma. We just ate dinner at In and Out Burger or Panada Express. We all walked there to get some fresh air. Everyone is back at hotel to have some down time and get some much needed rest.
Thank you for all the prayers and support for safe travels.
The team is all en route to Arizona! Some landed last night, others are driving from California and the big group is currently in the air. Prayers and blessings for all of them!!!
We are all checked in to the hotel in Michigan and enjoying each other’s company. We had our traditional pizza dinner and are preparing for our debriefing in the morning.
We have arrived at the airport, rental cars are returned and we are all through security! Our three flights will begin taking off at 6:02am and we will land throughout the day.Tonight we will rest, enjoy each other’s company and be ready to debrief Saturday morning. Please continue to pray for us as we travel throughout the day. We can’t wait to share our experiences with you in person tomorrow!!
We are all safely tucked into our rooms, showered and taking some short, but much needed rest after a long day of ministry and travel. We will head to the airport at 3am to continue our journey home!
Thank you for all of your continued prayers and all of your love and support!!!
This morning chapel ended with everyone taking communion. All of the Michigan groups came together, led by Pastor Mike, to commune. What a beautiful sign of unity!
St John Rochester, Our Shephard Birmingham, and Redeemer Birmingham along with those of us from Octane who were not attending the breakfast at the Soli church.
The build team has completed all of their tasks as of this evening! APU will provide additional support to work alongside the family to finish plastering and painting the interior of the home.
The homeowner works until 6:30pm each night, so we could not have the key ceremony on the traditional Thursday afternoon, so we scheduled it for this evening- Mexicali Flexicali!
Octane and APU presented the family with the keys, quilts from the women of HWLC, Spanish bibles from the Gideons, and tiles salvaged from the original structure that were decorated with bible excerpts.
We prayed together and said our goodbyes. What an amazing blessing to all of us!!!
